Linguistics: is the scientific study of language, its structure, grammar, meaning, and history
●Linguistics is more general than language.
Levels of Language :
Sound :
1- Phonetics.
2- Phonology.
Structure:
3- Syntax (نحو ).
4- Morphology (صرف).
Meaning:
5- Semantics (علم دلالة الألفاظ).
6- Pragmatics (التداولية) for a purpose...
e.g. : The room is hot (it implies: open the window).
